Conceived as a child’s playhouse for Habitat for Humanity homes, this gingerbread inspired house would be placed in the yard of a Habitat home, providing entertainment for children and a playful counterpart to the family’s house. The massing of the playhouse picks up on the essential features of a real Habitat home, rendering the two structures a complimentary pair. By taking ques from Habitat for Humanity Houses, the playhouse becomes more than just a toy, it is also a simplified diagram of the architecture of a Habitat for Humanity house.
