Carter Building

During its original construction, the Carter Building was completed without attention to the urban fabric surrounding it.  With a bland brick exterior and lack of detail, it seemed an imperfection on the potentially inspiring face of Fountain Avenue.  After a fire causing significant damage, the Carter Building was beyond repair and was, unfortunately, demolished.  This is a rendering of the Carter Building, if reconstructed, that will allow it to embody a new identity, attract businesses, and hopefully become a revitalizing force in downtown Springfield.
